Privacy Policy

What we do with your documents

We process them to send your fax. Then we delete them. That is it. We do not read them, sell them, store them, or look at them. They are permanently deleted the moment your fax finishes -- success or fail. Photos you upload are also stripped of hidden metadata (like GPS location) before transmission.

What we keep

A record that a fax was sent, when, to what number, whether it worked, and the email address you gave us for the confirmation. No document contents. Ever. Your IP address is stored as a one-way hash -- we cannot reverse it to identify you. Transaction records are kept only as long as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal requirements. If you join the launch notification list, we keep that email only to send you launch news, and we delete it on request.

Who touches your data

We use a small set of service providers to run the service: Stripe (payments), a licensed telecom carrier (fax transmission), and cloud infrastructure providers (hosting, storage, and the confirmation email). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We never sell or share your information for advertising.

A note on HIPAA

We are not a HIPAA Business Associate and do not market this service for uses that require HIPAA compliance. You are responsible for deciding whether this service is appropriate for what you are sending.

Children

The service is for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Payment

Stripe handles your card. We never see your card number. We only charge you if the fax actually goes through. If your fax fails, your payment authorization is automatically voided. Nothing is captured.

Do we sell your data?

No. We are a fax service, not a data broker.

Cookies

We use a single session token stored in your browser's local storage to remember your last 5 fax transactions on this device. It expires after 30 days. It never leaves your device.

Security

All data moving between your device, our systems, and our service providers is protected with industry-standard encryption in transit.

Your rights

Residents of certain states have legal rights regarding personal information a business holds about them. We keep so little that most requests are short conversations -- email us and we will handle it.
